The Station is a Swedish game developer in the south-east of Sweden best known for the long tradition of creating awesome creative content to the LittleBigPlanet™ franchise.

Concept/2D Artist:

Are you passionate about creating characters? Or do you enjoy painting epic vistas? Maybe you love to create inspiring logos and icons.
Station Interactive seeks experienced 2D artists to join our quest to create outstanding games.

Please apply if you feel like you’re really kick-ass at character concepts, environmental concepts, 2D game art or illustrations. You will be responsible for generating exciting artistic conceptual designs. A strong understanding of both environment and character design is a must.

Specific duties include:

  • Create appealing character concepts, working with the artist team and project lead to develop outstanding characters and assets.
  • Provide concept art that is easily communicated and serves as a good target image for a 3D Artist.
  • Follow art directions and The Station’s technical requirements.
  • Demonstrating enthusiasm, drive and a sense of urgency when performing job functions.
  • Working closely with other artists by providing sketches and paint-overs of in-game assets to maintain the look and feel of the game, and provide visual improvements where needed.
  • Creating color keys and mood pieces for environments to aid in maintaining the atmosphere of the project.
  • Providing research and conceptual development ideas independently.
  • Contributing assets for style guides and media design documents as needed.

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Portfolio displaying mastery of color, composition, form and design within various mediums, with an eye for detail.
  • Extensive knowledge of Photoshop.
  • Versatile and able to adapt to different art styles.
  • Ability to take direction and constructive criticism in a positive manner.
  • Organized and with great attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good social skills and willing to contribute to a healthy work environment.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and visual.
  • Driven, focused, and won’t settle for mediocrity

Desirable Skills:

  • Industry Experience.

Additional Skills:

Not necessary but would definitely put you ahead of the competition;

  • Experience with Illustrator, InDesign and Flash.
  • Experience with 3D art packages such as Maya or 3DSMax.
  • Animation skills

Gameplay Programmer:

Station Interactive seeks experienced Gameplay Programmers. You will be working closely with other programmers and designers to bring all the different aspects of the game to life.


Design, architect, test and implement game features for an undisclosed strategy game.


  • Excellent C# or C++ skills
  • Experience working with Unity
  • Previous game industry experience
  • Console programming experience
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Self-starter
  • Solution-oriented
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Willing to relocate to Karlshamn Sweden

Additional Skills and Traits:

  • Previous strategy game development experience.
  • Performance awareness in algorithms
